Kawasaki on 24 Hour Motos pole

The famous “Number 11” Ninja ZX-10R of the French based Team SRC will start the 40th running of the gruelling 24Hr Motos endurance race at the historic 4.1km Bugatti circuit in pole position on Saturday 15 April.

With night testing completed to the satisfaction of team Principle Gilles Stafler, the stunning lime green Ninja was wheeled out for qualifying with each of the three riders pushing hard for the front row on a packed grid.

And with a sea of works machinery from other manufacturers to match themselves against, the trio of French riders excelled with Morgan Berger second in his outing on the machine, Fabien Foret also emerging in a strong second spot and former MotoGP rider, Randy de Puniet taking the honours with not only first place in his qualifying session but also creating a Le Mans Bugatti circuit qualifying track record for an Endurance bike at 1min 35.73 seconds.

Securing the best place on the starting grid is just the start that Team SRC were hoping for while other Kawasaki equipped teams also fared well with the Swiss based Bolliger teaming of Saiger, Stamm and Savary inside the top ten in ninth and a further eleven Ninja ZX-10R machines in a 37 machine grid.

The race starts at 15.00 CET on Saturday 15 April.
