A mental and physical challenge for rider, machine and back-up crew, Endurance Racing is one of the greatest motorcycle racing spectacles.
As a proving ground for engineering innovation, durability there are few arenas so tough, few successes more savoured. With a strong record of competing in the World Endurance Championship, Kawasaki has enjoyed many successes across decades of involvement. Having a tradition of knowledge in the complex discipline of endurance racing, the responsibility for overseeing the racing project from Kawasaki side rests with acknowledged experts, Kawasaki Motors Europe French branch (KMFR).The current team, working alongside KMFR, has already carved a solid reputation for professionalism and success with an impressive number of race wins to their credit. Created and managed by Gilles Stafler, the SRC Kawasaki team has been in existence since 2009 using the Ninja ZX-10R as their weapon of choice. Stafler is a familiar face in racing paddocks having been part of the highly successful Team Kawasaki France (TKF) project for some years. The southern France based team, enjoyed success as early as 2010 with a many wins and podium placings. The combination of highly strategic rider selection plus the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is formidable with a pilot list that reads like a Who’s Who of endurance and many long-served support crew members. As much about tactics as all out performance, Team SRC Kawasaki are able to call on this wealth of former TKF experience in addition to other talented engineers, pit crew and support staff. Allied to this, the prospect of adapting the all-new 2016 Ninja ZX-10R into a frequent endurance race winner is something both team and riders are relishing. Already a proven World SBK winning machine, the latest Ninja now makes its debut in the most gruelling discipline of all – World Endurance.
